Connect a Shopify store
Once connected, SellerTiger pulls orders directly through the Shopify Admin API (read-only). Paste your admin address (the browser-bar link) and the credentials your Shopify app shows; we work out the shop domain.
What you get
- Orders: pulled hourly by default (change it in Data Center); the first run pulls the last 60 days. The same order that arrived earlier from a CSV or BigSeller is upgraded in place to the direct copy — no duplicates, notes and workflow state kept.
- Lock: while direct, CSV imports and manual entry are skipped for this shop.
- Permissions: only
read_orders,read_products,read_inventory. SellerTiger never writes to your store.
Before you start
- Who: someone with Settings level 4 in SellerTiger (the founder by default); on Shopify, the owner or staff with App development → Develop.
- Brands & channels: the brand has a Shopify sales channel (or a website channel running on Shopify).
- Plan: the store uses one authorized-shop slot.
Which credentials you'll have (checked against Shopify's docs 2026-10-18)
Since 1 January 2026, new custom apps are built in the Dev Dashboard and only have a Client ID + Client secret — no shpat_ access token. That's normal.

Step 1 · Create the app in Shopify
New app (Dev Dashboard):
- Shopify admin → Settings → Apps → Develop apps → Build apps in Dev Dashboard.
- Create app → name it
SellerTiger→ Create. - New version: Access =
read_orders,read_products,read_inventory; Redirect URLs = the callback SellerTiger shows,https://app.sellertiger.com/api/stores/oauth/shopify/callback→ Release. - Installs → Install app on your store.
- Open Settings and copy the Client ID and Client secret.
Older app (created before 2026):
- Shopify admin → Settings → Apps and sales channels → Develop apps → your app.
- Configure Admin API scopes: tick
read_orders,read_products,read_inventory→ Save. - Install app → Reveal token once (starts with
shpat_) → copy. If you didn't keep it, uninstall and install again for a new token.
Step 2 · Paste the address and credentials in SellerTiger
- SellerTiger → Settings → Connections → Shopify. Under wizard step 3, press Connect on the shop (no shop yet? Add shop first).
- ① Shop admin address: paste the whole browser-bar link, e.g.
https://admin.shopify.com/store/welstore/orders. You'll see "Shop recognized: welstore.myshopify.com". Don't paste your own custom domain. - ② Credentials:
- Older app: paste the
shpat_token → Connect and verify. SellerTiger really reads the shop and orders once and shows "Connected: shop name". - New app: paste the Client ID on the left and the Client secret on the right → Connect. If the app is installed on this shop (same Shopify organization) it connects straight away; otherwise you go to Shopify's consent page, approve, and come back automatically ("Shop authorized"). These tokens expire; SellerTiger renews them automatically.

Step 3 · Start syncing
- Test connection shows the shop name.
- Data Center → Website → Shopify → details → Run now (founder). The result reads like "Direct orders n (m shops)".
- In Orders, Shopify orders show the direct source.
Troubleshooting

Note: When a Dev Dashboard app is installed on a store outside your Shopify organization, Shopify may require a custom distribution install link. If the install page says you can't install, contact SellerTiger support.
