Pushing stock to platforms

5 min read

SellerTiger can write our real sellable stock to the authorized platform shops: push by hand, push automatically at a set frequency, show a bit more stock on a platform when a campaign needs it, and split one SKU's stock between several shops of the same platform.

The settings have two entry points with exactly the same content: Stock push settings at the top right of Inventory & purchasing → Inventory (founder and leaders), or the Stock push tab of Data Center → Platform sync settings. The Stock to platforms tab under the inventory gear (Purchasing settings) is the same set of settings too.

Three switches: all must be on before platform stock changes

Pushing changes stock on the live platforms, so by default nothing is written. Automatic pushing only runs when all three are on:

  1. Server master switch: turned on on the server by an administrator, for every platform. While it is off the page says the stock-push master switch is off, and neither Push stock nor auto sync changes platform stock.
  2. The shop's "Push stock" switch: one per shop in Bound shops that take stock. Only the founder can change it, and turning it on asks for confirmation.
  3. Sync stock automatically: once on, stock is pushed at the automatic push frequency — every 15 minutes by default (every 5 minutes / 15 minutes / hourly / daily / off). Only the founder can switch it, and turning it on asks for confirmation.

Pushing by hand (right-click Push stock, Push everything now) needs only the first two. Shops without "Push stock" on are skipped, with the message that no shop has "Push stock" on.

What gets pushed

  • Real sellable stock = stock − reserved, never below 0. A bundle without its own stock gets the number of sets its components allow.
  • Each platform then gets its virtual stock (see below); by default that is exactly the real stock.
  • Only quantities that differ from what the platform shows are written. Listings must be matched to our SKUs.

Which platforms

PlatformStock push
ShopeeYes
TikTok ShopYes
LazadaYes
ShopifyYes — needs the inventory write permission; a product stocked at more than one location is skipped
Shopline (website)Yes — the app needs inventory write access in Shopline
LINE MyShopYes

Bound shops that take stock lists each shop's switch, its matched SKUs and the last push.

Push stock by hand

In the stock list, right-click a product or a SKU → Push stock. SellerTiger always asks first ("Push stock of … to every bound platform shop?"), then reports Pushed {p}, failed {f}, skipped {s} — skipped means unchanged or not pushable. To push every matched SKU at once, use Push everything now in the settings.

Virtual stock and safety number

  • Virtual stock (multiple per platform) — shown stock = real sellable stock × multiple. Default 1 (= real stock). Raise it when a campaign needs more stock (Shopee especially).
  • Never more than … × real stock — a cap on every multiple (default 3).
  • At or below this real stock, every platform shows real stock only — the safety number (default 5), so the last units are never inflated.
  • The example table shows real stock → what each platform would show. Click Save after changes.

Warning: A multiple above 1 can oversell. After an order on any platform, the next push recalculates from the new real stock.

Stock split between shops

When several shops on one platform list the same SKU, the stock is shared between them — never the full amount to each shop. Right-click a SKU → Stock split between shops to set a Share per shop. None set = Even split; shares need not add up to 100 (they are used as weights). The table shows what each shop would get now. Back to even split removes your shares. Changes are used from the next stock push.

Compare with platform stock

Above the stock list, Platform stock chips add one column per platform with the stock it shows (all its shops added up), next to our real stock. Hover a number to see how much more or less it is. Hide removes the columns. Platform stock itself is read at the frequency in Platform sync settings → Products & platform stock (hourly by default).

Platform orders take stock out

When Stock source of truth is SellerTiger (the dropdown on the Stock ledger tab; Auto means the legacy feed counts while its API is connected — that option currently reads "ERP" in the dropdown), platform orders (Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, Shopify…) move SellerTiger stock themselves:

  • Once an order is shipped, its items are taken out of stock (one stock document per order).
  • If it is returned, or cancelled after shipping, the items come back in.
  • Only orders shipped after this started are counted, so history is not deducted twice. SKUs not matched to ours cannot move stock; the order's timeline lists them.
  • While the legacy feed is the stock source, nothing is deducted here — its sync already carries these movements.

Manual orders are separate: they take stock out at handover when that option is on in Settings → Orders & printing.
