First-run setup guide and checklist

4 min read

The first time you open a new workspace, SellerTiger walks you through the setup in a few minutes and then keeps a Getting started checklist on your Home page until everything important is done. Every step saves as you go, so you can stop at any time and pick up later on any device.

Who sees the guide

  • The founder of a new workspace gets the full setup guide automatically on first sign-in.
  • People who join an existing workspace get a shorter version: welcome, their own profile and a quick tour.
  • Teams that were already using SellerTiger are not interrupted. Anyone can open the guide themselves from the avatar menu (top right) → Getting started guide.

The founder's setup steps

A step rail shows where you are (for example "Step 3 of 7"). Each step uses the same settings as the rest of SellerTiger, so whatever you enter here also appears in Settings, and you can change it there later.

  1. Welcome — what SellerTiger covers: products, pricing, orders and stock; content, creators and campaigns; budgets and finance; team tools; the AI assistant; and the Data Center.
  2. Company profile — legal name and address in English and Thai, tax ID, head office or branch, phone, email, and the square and wide logos. These go on invoices, receipts, labels and letterheads. See "Company profile and letterhead".
  3. My profile — your photo, display name, job title and interface language.
  4. Brands & channels — add your brands, then tick where each one sells (sales channels) and where it posts (social accounts). Every brand, channel, shop and account picker in SellerTiger shows only what you set here. See "Brands & channels".
  5. Connections & Data Center — based on the channels you just picked, the guide lists the shops and accounts to authorize, plus ERP, accounting and AI tools. Choose Connect now or Later for each. It also explains the data source priority used by the Data Center.
  6. Invite your team — create an invite link and QR code (valid for 7 days) or send an email invite. More options opens the full invite settings (role, expiry, join requests).
  7. Quick tour — a one-minute spotlight tour of the screen: team modules on the left, your personal tools at the top right, search, notifications and the workspace switcher. Use ← → to move and Esc to end.

Use Save & continue to go on, Back to return, or Skip this step for anything you are not ready for. Only the founder or an admin can save the company profile or invite people; for others those steps are read-only.

The member tour

People who join an existing team see Welcome, My profile and the Quick tour. It takes about a minute. Their profile photo and name are what teammates see on tasks, chat, approvals and comments.

The Getting started checklist

After the guide (or if you leave it early), a Getting started card appears on your Home page with a progress count such as "4 of 9 done". Items tick themselves off from your real data — it does not matter whether you did the work in the guide or directly in Settings. Click an item to jump to the right place.

Members only see the items that apply to them (profile and tour). When everything is done the card says "All done — great work!". You can hide the card at any time.

Pause, skip or reopen

  • Later closes the guide; your place is remembered. A Continue setup button and the checklist's Continue guide take you back to the same step.
  • Skipped steps stay on the checklist until the underlying work is done.
  • To start again after finishing, open the avatar menu (top right) → Getting started guide. This also brings back a hidden checklist.

If you prefer to skip the guide, this order avoids rework because each step feeds the next:

  1. Company — Settings → Company: legal identity and logos (printouts use them).
  2. Brands & channels — Settings → Brands & channels: every picker and the fee tabs depend on this list.
  3. Fee rules — Settings → Fee & tax rules: platform fees and guardrails, so prices and margins are right from the start.
  4. Connections — Settings → Connections: authorize shops and accounts, then check Settings → Data Center (founder only).
  5. Products — add products by hand or import them.
  6. Team — Settings → Accounts → Invite members.

Tip: You can use SellerTiger without connecting anything — manual orders, stock in/out and stocktakes all work standalone. Connect later and the matching manual entry locks itself so nothing is counted twice.
