Open API (API keys)

2 min read

The open API lets Claude or your own tools read and write SellerTiger with a key, through the same routes the web app uses. It is available on the Enterprise plan (and internal plans).

Create a key

  1. A founder or admin opens Settings → Open API (its own page under Company).
  2. Click New key: name it, pick an expiry (and, if you like, an IP allowlist), then tick rows in the Scopes table. Each row says what the scope can read and write and what access you yourself have in that module; a row you can't tick says why.
  3. Click Create key and enter your two-step code (or your password if two-step is off).
  4. The key (starting stk_) is shown only once. Copy it right away; a lost key can only be revoked and replaced.

What a key can do

  • A key acts as the person who created it: it can do what its scopes allow AND what that person may do. If the person is deactivated, downgraded or leaves, the key follows.
  • Scopes: content plans, KOL, campaigns, OKR, calendar & tasks, budget (read and write); finance reconciliation (read and write) and catalog & stock (read only) carry platform data and are enabled separately by the platform.
  • No key can delete, run AI generation, download exports, or touch settings, members, connections, the platform console or the keys themselves.
  • Actions that need approval still go through approval.
  • Up to 60 requests a minute per key, 20 of them writes.

Write log and undo

API write log on the settings page lists every write. Undo one, or everything a key wrote:

  • Undoing an edit restores the old values; undoing a create removes it.
  • If someone edited the record by hand since, you get a conflict and nothing is overwritten.
  • Status changes and approval submissions are only logged and marked for manual follow-up.

When a key is used from a new IP address, the founder and the key's creator are notified. Revoke a key on the Open API page at any time; it stops working immediately.
