"Personal and team connections for Lark and Google"

4 min read

SellerTiger works with Lark and Google on two levels: the team connection is switched on once by the founder for the whole company; the personal binding is each person authorizing their own account. Neither needs any technical setup — SellerTiger provides the app, and the consent screen lists the permissions; you just agree.

What syncs, in which direction

FeatureLark / Google → SellerTigerSellerTiger → Lark / Google (two-way)
Tasks (Lark)Lark tasks assigned to me, about every 15 minutesTasks I create, edit, complete or delete go to the assignee’s own Lark right away; changing the assignee changes the Lark assignee (they need to have bound Lark too)
Calendar (Lark / Google)Primary calendar, 30 days back to 90 days aheadEvents I create, edit or delete go to my primary calendar (Lark if both are bound); attendees who bound are invited
Mail (Gmail / Lark Mail)Into SellerTiger Mail, about every 2 minutesSent through your own mailbox: sent mail is in your Sent folder, drafts in your Drafts
Chat (Lark)Replies arrive within about a minute; in real time in groups with the botMessages you send to Lark colleagues or groups go out as you

When both sides change

  • The latest edit wins. When the Lark side wins, the task or event shows “Edited in Lark” (same for Google).
  • No loops: changes pulled from Lark are never pushed back, and your pushed changes don’t come back as duplicates.
  • Failed pushes retry automatically (slower each time, at most hourly); if access expired, Linked accounts asks you to re-authorize.

Founder: one click

  1. Settings → Connections → Lark (or Google) → Turn on Lark interop in one click.
  2. Recommended settings: tasks, calendar, mail, chat on; two-way sync; Lark group bot.
  3. Every member gets a notification “Bind my Lark” that opens the binding consent. The card shows “N / M bound”, and you can remind the rest.
  4. Later you can switch single features off, change to one-way, or turn interop off (bindings and synced items are kept).

Member: bind my account

  1. Settings → Profile → Linked accounts → Bind Lark / Bind Google.
  2. Check what syncs and which permissions are requested → continue → agree. The first sync starts when you come back.
  3. Switch each feature on or off; turn “⇄ Two-way” off for tasks or calendar and they only sync in (read-only in SellerTiger).
  4. “Re-authorize to turn on two-way sync”: your company just turned two-way on — press Re-authorize and agree to the write permissions once; nothing already synced changes.

Lark public mailboxes (shared with the whole company)

If your company has public mailboxes in Lark Mail (for example info@ or support@), you can bring them into SellerTiger and members see them in Mail without doing anything.

  1. Before you start: Lark interop is on for the company (with Mail on), you have bound your own Lark, and you are a member of that public mailbox in Lark.
  2. Founder (or an admin with settings access): Settings → Connections → Lark → Public mailboxes under step 6. The list shows the public mailboxes in Lark; click Connect. If the list doesn't load, type the address instead.
  3. When connecting, choose Who can see it (all members by default, or by role, or selected people) and Who can send as it (all members / by role / selected people / admins only). Change it any time with Access.
  4. Members open Mail and find it under Shared mailboxes, tagged "Public mailbox · Lark". They can read, reply as the public address, assign conversations, and add internal notes customers never see. Everyone keeps their own read state.
  5. Sync: new mail comes in every 2 minutes and whenever someone opens Mail. Attachments are fetched from Lark when opened. Mail you send appears in the public mailbox's Sent folder in Lark.
  6. Reading and sending use the Lark authorization of the person who connected it. If they unbind Lark, click "Use my authorization" here to take over. Disconnecting only removes it from SellerTiger; mail in Lark is not affected.
  7. Seeing "doesn't include view public mailboxes yet"? Click Re-authorize and approve once more in Lark.

FAQ

  • Do my existing tasks all go to Lark? No. Only items created or edited after it’s on are pushed.
  • Does it touch other people’s items? No. Everyone uses only their own authorization and writes only their own tasks and events.
  • After unbinding? Sync stops and access is revoked; synced items stay in SellerTiger as normal editable items.
  • Company turned interop off? Linked accounts shows “Your company hasn’t turned on Lark interop”; binding and sync pause.
